A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF
INVITATION TO BID NUMBER 18-19-029 TO SUN EAGLE
GENERAL CONTRACTORS CORPORATION, FOR BETTY T.
FERGUSON NATATORIUM INTERIOR AND LOCKER ROOM
UPGRADES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANGER TO ISSUE
PURCHASE ORDERS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THE
BUDGETED AMOUNT, FOR THIS PURPOSE; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, City of Miami Gardens ("City") requires turn-key services, including
labor, materials, equipment, permitting, site safety, HVAC removal & replacement,
painting, pool surface repair, cleaning, repairs, and replacements for the Betty T.
Ferguson Natatorium Interior and Locker Room Upgrades, and
WHEREAS, in support of the City's project to upgrade Betty T. Ferguson
Natatorium Interior and Locker Room, Invitation to Bid (ITB) #18-19-029 was advertised
on BidSync on September 17, 2019, and
WHEREAS, the ITB closed on October 16, 2019 and one (1) firm, Sun Eagle
General Contractors Corporation, submitted a bid in response to the advertised bid and
it was publicly read, and
WHEREAS, City Staff evaluated the bid for compliance with the specifications
and Sun Eagle General Contractor Corporation was deemed responsible and
responsive to the requirements of the ITB, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council approves the award of
Invitation to Bid No. 18-19-029, to Sun Eagle General Contractors Corporation, for Betty
T. Ferguson Natatorium Interior and Locker Room Upgrades, and authorizes the City
Manager to issue purchase orders, in amount, not to exceed the budgeted amount,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes an award of Invitation to Bid Number 18-19-029 to Sun Eagle
General Contractors Corporation, for Betty T. Ferguson Natatorium Interior and Locker
Room Upgrades and authorizes the City Manager to issue purchase orders, in an
amount, not to exceed the budgeted amount, for this purpose
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
