A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS,FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN SHANNON CAMPBELL’S PUBLC AFFAIRS
SPECIAL TONOT AN AMOUNTACCOUNTEVENTSIN
EXCEED ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($150.00) IN
SUPPORT OF THE ROBERT PARKER FOUNDATION;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Robert Parker Foundation aim is to educate citizens and eradicate
the myths of mental illness, aid those plagued by the illness and preserve the quality of
life for individuals who suffer silently, and
WHEREAS, this foundation plays a pivotal role in organizing charitable efforts and
activities to provide in-kind donations and holiday toys and gifts to children and families
within their community, and
WHEREAS, the Robert Parker Foundation is planning a Holiday Gala to be held
on, the event will occur Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 6:00pm at 1717 Bayshore Drive,
Miami, Florida 33132, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Campbell is requesting to utilize one hundred and fifty
dollars ($150.00) the from the Seat 1 Public Affairs Special Events account in support of
the Robert Parker Foundation Holiday Gala,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorize allocation of funds from the Seat 1 Public Affairs Special Event Account
in the amount of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) in support of the Robert Parker
Foundation Holiday Gala to be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 26, 2022.
