A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN SHANNON CAMPBELL’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS
SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED FIVE HUNDERED DOLLARS ($500.00) TO SPONSOR
REFRESHMENTS AT THE IRONCLAD MAN-2-MAN
CONFERENCE BEING HELD ON JUNE 9 AND 10, 2023 AT
ANTIOCH MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH; PROVIDING FOR
THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The 2023 Ironclad Man-2-Man Conference will take place on June 9th
& 10th, 2023 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, and
WHEREAS, their goal is to have five hundred men from Miami Gardens and
surrounding communities to attend, and
WHEREAS, they're aiming for the positive growth of men, their homes, families
and communities
WHEREAS, this two-day conference includes an all-men networking session along
with workshop sessions on Family, Finance, and Feelings then closing with a wellness
gallery, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Campbell is requesting an amount not to exceed five
hundred dollars ($500) from her Public Affairs Special Events account to sponsor
refreshments for the conference, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes allocation of funds from Seat One Publc Affairs Special Events Account
for five hundred dollars ($500) to support the Ironclad Man-2-Man Conference 2023.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MAY 10, 2023.
