A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS TO
VARIOUS COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN SHANNON CAMPBELL’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS
SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO
THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,500.00);
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Shannon Campbell is requesting the City approve
funds to be donated to the following non-profit organizations:
1. North County Citizens Association - $1,000
2. H.O.P.E. Advancement Group - $500
3. Old School Classic Car Club Corp - $500
4. Robert Parker Foundation, Inc. - $500
WHEREAS, the purpose of the donations will be to provide non-profit
organizations, who serve the community, funds for use to aid them in their endeavors to
enrich the lives of the City of Miami Gardens residents, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of two thousand five hundred dollars from the Seat 1
Public Affairs Special Events Account to support the non-profit organizations as outlined
above.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 26, 2023.
