A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FOUR THOUSAND
FIVE HUNDRED AND TWELVE DOLLARS ($4,512) FROM VICE
MAYOR KATRINA WILSON’S FORMULA ONE COMMUNITY
BENEFIT ACCOUNT TO SUPPORT ATHLETIC PROGRAMS,
COMMUNITY AND EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES, PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Each year, Vice Mayor Wilson supports various organizations and
initiatives, including community organizations, schools, and athletic programs, and
WHEREAS, actively engaging and investing in these endeavors, individuals can
make a meaningful impact and contribute to the overall well-being of society, and
WHEREAS, investing in community and education through school programs and
initiatives provides students with the resources and support they need to succeed
academically and personally, and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Katrina Wilson is requesting the City Council authorize
the allocation of four thousand five hundred and twelve dollars ($4,512) from the Seat 4
Formula One Community Benefit Account to support the following community and
educational initiatives:
Community Table for CMG Commission for Women at $1,512
2024 Women’s Impact Luncheon.
Donation to Miami Norland Sr. Highschool Boys State $1,000
Championship Basketball Team
Donation to Florida Memorial University Award Winning $1,000
Band
Donation to Miami Carol City Senior High School $1,000
Total $4,512
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorize the allocation of four thousand five hundred and twelve dollars ($4,512)
from the Seat 4 Formula One Community Benefit Account to support the following
community and educational initiatives:

Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
