A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION
OF ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,500)
FROM COUNCILMAN REGGIE LEON’S FORMULA ONE
COMMUNITY BENEFIT ACCOUNT IN SUPPORT OF CRIMSON
CLASSIC: A DELTA DAY SOIREE PRESENTED BY THE DADE
COUNTY ALUMNAE CHAPTER OF DELTA SIGMA THETA
SORORITY, INCORPORATED, TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY,
APRIL 27, 2024; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Councilman Reggie Leon is requesting an allocation of fifteen
hundred dollars ($1,500) from the Seat Formula One Community Benefit Account in
support of the Crimson Classic: A delta Day Soiree presented by the Dade County
Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, to be held on Saturday,
April 27, 2024, and
WHEREAS, the proceeds from this event will support an academic scholarship
fund that students located in Miami Gardens and throughout Miami-Dade County can
apply for and receive to further their education, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorize the allocation of one thousand five hundred ($1,500) from the Seat 2
Formula Community Benefit Account in support of the Crimson Classic: A delta Day
Soiree presented by the Dade County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
Incorporated, to be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS
AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON APRIL 24, 2024.
