A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILMAN REGGIE LEON’S FORMULA ONE COMMUNITY
FUND ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE
THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS
($1,875) IN SUPPORT OF MIAMI NORLAND VIKINGS
CHAMPIONSHIP JACKETS PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION
OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, Miami Norland Senior High School Vikings basketball team has
demonstrated exceptional talent and commitment to excellence in their sports; and
WHEREAS, Funding is crucial for the team to continue their training, participate in
tournaments, and maintain necessary equipment and facilities; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Reggie Leon, recognizes the importance of supporting
grassroots sports development engagement, the funds shall be utilized for championship
state jackets
WHEREAS, Councilman Reggie Leon is requesting the City Council authorize the
amount of $1,875 from his Formula One Community Benefit Account to support Miami
Norland High School Vikings basketball team championship state jackets
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: It is recommended that Council approve this
Resolution.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON APRIL 24, 2024.
