A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN LINDA JULIEN'S COMMUNITY BENEFIT
ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($5,000), NUN PRO TUNC, FOR KRISTI HOUSE,
INC.; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Kristi House, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing
comprehensive services to child victims of abuse and their families in Miami-Dade
County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the work of Kristi House, Inc. is vital in providing support, healing, and
advocacy for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and exploitation, helping
them to recover and thrive, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Linda Julien recognizes the importance of supporting
organizations like Kristi House, Inc. in their mission to protect and empower vulnerable
children in our community, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Julien is requesting an allocation of five thousand
dollars ($5,000), Nunc Pro Tunc from the Seat 5 Community Benefit account (116-19-01-
519-492-05) to support the ongoing efforts of Kristi House, Inc., and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby support allocation of funds from Councilwoman Julien’s Seat 5 Community Benefit
Account (116-19-01-519-492-05) in the amount of five thousand dollars ($5,000) for Kristi
House, Inc.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS
AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MAY 22, 2024.
