A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, WAIVING RENTAL FEES AND
SERVICE CHARGES FOR THE USE OF THE SENIOR FAMILY
CENTER AND PAYING ASSOCIATED STAFFING COSTS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN SHANNON CAMPBELL’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS
SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT IN SUPPORT OF NORTH
COUNTY K-8 CENTER 8TH GRADE DANCE; PROVIDING FOR
THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, North County K-8 Center is a public school located in Miami Gardens,
FL, within residential Seat 1 area, and
WHEREAS, the mission of North County K-8 Center is to foster academic
excellence by building literacy and creativity through purposeful and enriching instruction
and by ensuring that each student is reaching his/her optimal potential to become a
productive citizen in society, and
WHEREAS, North County K-8 Center is committed to promoting life-long learning
in a caring, nurturing environment ensuring that our students develop the knowledge and
skills needed to succeed in a global society, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Campbell is requesting the total cost of rental and
staffing fees be provided in-kind and the allocation of funds from Seat 1 Public Affairs
Special Events account in the amount of $396.00 to support North County K-8 Center 8th
grade dance, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates the total cost of rental and staffing fees to be provided in-kind and an
allocation in the amount not to exceed Three Hundred Ninety-Six Dollars ($396.00) from
Seat 1 Special Events/Public Affairs Account (001-12-02-512-492-01) to support North
County K-8 8th grade Dance.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
