A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN ALLOCATION
OF TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) FROM
COUNCILWOMAN SHANNON CAMPBELL’S COMMUNITY
BENEFIT ACCOUNT TO THE MIAMI GARDENS
NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH IN SUPPORT OF THE SENIOR
HOME BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS Councilwoman Shannon Campbell is requesting an allocation of ten
thousand dollars ($10,000) from the Seat 1 Formula One Community Benefit Account to
donate to the Miami Gardens Neighborhood Watch Incorporated, and
WHEREAS, the donation is in support of the Senior Home Beautification Project,
and
WHEREAS, funds will be utilized for Senior resident homes that are in need of
repairs in which the homeowner is unable to afford due to limited or fix income, and
WHEREAS, Council woman Shannon Campbell is requesting the funds with the
intent to help increase seniors quality of life and restore a level of comfort for our most
valued seniors in need, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes an allocation in the amount not to exceed ten thousand dollars
($10,000) from Seat 1 Community Benefit Account (116-19-01-519-492-01) to support
the Miami Gardens Neighborhood Watch Inc. Senior Home Beautification Project.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS
AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MAY 22, 2024.
