A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST,
RESPECTIVELY, THAT CERTAIN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY AND THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS RELATING TO A GRANT FROM THE BUILDING
BETTER COMMUNITIES' GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND
PROGRAM PROJECT NO. 320 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
FUND IN AN AMOUNT UP TO $7,500,000.00, A COPY OF
WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT “A”; PROVIDING
FOR INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CITY CLERK; PROVIDING FOR
THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on July 20, 2004, the Miami-Dade County Board of County
Commissioners authorized the issuance of $2.926 billion in general obligation bonds for
various capital projects throughout Miami-Dade County, and
WHEREAS, on November 2, 2004, a majority of those voting approved the bond
program, known as the Building Better Communities, General Obligation Bond program
(BBC-GOB), and
WHEREAS, on February 21, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners in
Resolution No. R-159- 24 approved an allocation up to $7,500,000 to the City of Miami
Gardens for certain public infrastructure improvements related to the development of the
Miami Gardens Town Center project described in Exhibit “A”
of the attached interlocal agreement, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager
to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with the County relating to a grant from the Building
Better Communities' General Obligation Bond Program Project No. 320 Economic
Development Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager and the City Clerk to execute and attest, respectively,
that certain Interlocal Agreement between Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami
Gardens relating to a grant from the Building Better Communities' General Obligation

Bond Program Project No. 320 Economic Development Fund in an amount up to
$7,500,000.00, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit “A”.
Section 3: INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CITY CLERK: The City Clerk is hereby
authorized to obtain two (2) fully executed copies of the subject Agreement with one to
be maintained by the City, and one to be delivered to Miami Dade County.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MAY 8, 2024.
