A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING SPONSORSHIP
FOR THE BACK TO SCHOOL JAM IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS
($3,800) FROM COUNCILWOMAN SHANNON CAMPBELL’S
PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Back to School Jams are a way to build lasting relationships within
our local community. As a certified state educator, councilwoman Shannon Campbell
understands the importance of getting students & teachers excited about returning back
to school and work, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Shannon Campbell will be hosting a Back to School
Jam at Buccaneer park on Saturday, August 10, 2024, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Shannon Campbell is requesting funding from Seat 1
Special Events Account in the amount of three thousand eight hundred dollars ($3,800)
to support the Back to School Jam, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1:ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2:AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes an allocation in the amount not to exceed three thousand eight hundred
dollars ($3,800) from Seat 1 Public Affairs Special Events Account (001-12-02-512-492-
01) to support the entrepreneurship Experience Summit.
Section 3:EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS
AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 24, 2024.
