WITT O’BRIEN’S, LLC.) AS PRIMARY VENDOR AND DEBRIS TECH, LLC., AS SECONDARY VENDOR FOR ONE (1) RENEWAL YEAR PERIOD; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City issued Request for Proposal (RFP) Number 20-21-018 to hire a company, as needed, to perform debris monitoring services, associated management and accounting services and processing of the debris removal contractors’ invoices following an emergency event, and WHEREAS, on July 26, 2021, the City Council for the City of Miami Gardens awarded RFP Number 20-21-018 to Witt O’Brien’s, LLC., as primary vendor and DebrisTech, LLC., as the secondary vendor via Resolution No. 2021-106-3661, and WHEREAS, the agreement was finalized on September 2, 2021, with an initial term of three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) one (1) year periods and this is the first renewal period, and WHEREAS, effective June 20, 2024, Witt O’Brien’s, LLC., sold their Debris Monitoring Line of Service to Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC. (“Successor”), and Successor assumed all obligations and liabilities under the original Agreement with the City and ratified the Contract with the same force and effect as if the Contract was originally undertaken by Successor, and WHEREAS, expenditures related to debris removal due to a declared emergency are reimbursable through Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”), and WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the first renewal of RFP No. 20-21-018—Disaster Debris Monitoring Services with Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC., (F.K.A. Witt O’Brien’s, LLC.) as Primary Vendor and Debris Tech, LLC., as Secondary Vendor for one (1) renewal year period, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. Witt O’Brien’s, LLC.) as Primary Vendor and Debris Tech, LLC., as Secondary Vendor. Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its final passage.
