A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS ($6,000) FOR THE
FIRST RESPONDERS FEAST FROM RESIDENTIAL SEAT 1
PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The First Responders Feast aims to honor and celebrate the
dedication and bravery of our local first responders. This event is designed to provide a
complimentary meal for first responders, offering them an opportunity to relax and
connect with their peers in an informal setting, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Katrina Baskin recognizes the vital role first
responders play in maintaining the safety and well-being of our community. By hosting
this feast, the city not only acknowledges their hard work but also promotes
camaraderie and unity among first responders. This event serves as a gesture of
gratitude for their service and commitment to our community, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Baskin is requesting an amount not to exceed six
thousand dollars ($6,000) from Residential Seat 1 Public Affairs account to support her
First Responders Feast, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1:ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2:AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates funds from Seat 1 Public Affairs account (001-12-02-512-492-01) for
six thousand dollars ($6,000), to support Councilwoman Katrina Baskin’s First
Responders Feast.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS
AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 12, 2025.
