A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING AN AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) FROM
COUNCILMAN REGGIE LEON’S COMMUNITY BENEFIT
ACCOUNT IN SUPPORT OF ONGOING COMMUNITY
INITIATIVES; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, each year, Councilman Reggie Leon leads initiatives that make a
meaningful impact within the community, and
WHEREAS, his efforts consistently support educational programs and community-
based activities that foster growth, opportunity, and positive engagement among
residents of all ages, and
WHEREAS, examples of these efforts include community holiday events such as
the Turkey Drive/Community Food Distribution, Toy Drive, along with other initiatives that
promote unity, service, and educational enrichment throughout the City, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Reggie Leon is requesting a sponsorship not to exceed
ten thousand dollars ($10,000) from his Community Benefit account for the purpose of
supporting ongoing community-based activities, initiatives and materials.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocate the amount not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000) from
Councilman Reggie Leon’s Community Benefit Account in support of Seat 4 Community
Engagement Initiatives.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS
AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 12, 2025.
