A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING AN AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) FROM
COUNCILWOMAN MICHELLE C. POWELL’S COMMUNITY
BENEFIT ACCOUNT IN SUPPORT OF ONGOING COMMUNITY
INITIATIVES; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in support of continued efforts to promote civic participation and
strengthen community engagement within the City of Miami Gardens, Councilwoman
Michelle C. Powell, DO, requests approval for the allocation of funds not to exceed ten
thousand dollars ($10,000) from her Community Benefit Account (116-19-01-519-492-
03), and
WHEREAS, the proposed allocation will provide financial support for community-
based initiatives and events designed to enhance resident involvement and overall quality
of life. Such initiatives may include, but are not limited to, recognition ceremonies,
wellness and enrichment programs, and service-oriented projects that benefit the
residents of Miami Gardens, and
WHEREAS, funds will be utilized to offset eligible event-related expenditures,
including supplies, entertainment, promotional materials, and other logistical expenses
necessary to ensure successful implementation and community impact, and
WHEREAS, This request aligns with Councilwoman Powell’s ongoing commitment
to fostering an inclusive, engaged, and vibrant community through the delivery of
meaningful programs and activities throughout the City of Miami Gardens, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorize the allocation of an amount of ten thousand ($10,000) dollars from
Councilwoman Michelle Powell’s Community Benefit account (116-19-01-519-
492-03).
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
