A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM VICE
MAYOR STEPHENS’ SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED five THOUSAND DOLLARS
($5,000.00), NUNC PRO TUNC TO DECEMBER 2, 2025, IN
SUPPORT OF HIS HOLIDAY COMMUNITY RECEPTION;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Stephens hosted his Jingle & Mingle: Holiday Community
Reception & Toy Drive with the purpose of cultivating relationships with experienced
professionals, stakeholders, and to engage residents in the community, and
WHEREAS, the Jingle & Mingle: Holiday Community Reception & Toy Drive will
provide an opportunity for residents, families, and community partners to unite in a festive
and welcoming environment that promotes fellowship and goodwill, and
WHEREAS, this event seeks not only to celebrate the holiday season but also to
inspire a spirit of compassion and generosity by encouraging attendees to donate
unwrapped toys for distribution to children and families in need throughout the City of
Miami Gardens, and
WHEREAS, the toys collected during this reception will support local youth during
the Christmas holiday season and help ensure that children who may otherwise go
without are able to experience joy, hope, and a sense of belonging, and
WHEREAS, the Jingle & Mingle initiative aligns with the City’s ongoing
commitment to enhancing community engagement, strengthening partnerships with local
organizations, and promoting charitable efforts that uplift vulnerable and underserved
populations, and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Stephens is requesting the allocation of Five Thousand
Dollars ($5,000), nunc pro tunc, from his Special Events Account (001-12-02-512-492-
06) to support his Holiday Community Reception, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of Five Thousand Dollars from his Special Events

Account (001-12-02-512-492-06), nunc pro tunc, to December 2, 2025 in support of the
Holiday Community Reception.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 10, 2025.
