A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED TWO THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS
($2,700) FOR VEGAN VIBES FROM RESIDENTIAL SEAT 1
PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT, NUNC PRO TUNC TO
DECEMBER 7, 2025; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Vegan Vibes is an innovative Miami Art Week event that united art,
community, and sustainable living by providing Miami Gardens residents with access to
nutritious vegan food and an immersive live art experience, and
WHEREAS, the event featured workshops on vegan cooking and sustainable
living, along with panel discussions led by artists, chefs, and activists who shared valuable
insights to educate the community, and
WHEREAS, Vegan Vibes offered family-friendly activities, live painting, art
competitions, and opportunities for local organizations to host informational booths,
fostering community connection and promoting healthy living, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Katrina Baskin is requesting an amount not to exceed
two thousand seven hundred dollars ($2,700) from Residential Seat 1 Public Affairs
account (001-12-02-512-492-01), nunc pro tunc, to support her Vegan Vibes Event held
on December 7, 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates funds from Seat 1 Public Affairs account (001-12-02-512-492-01), for
two thousand seven hundred dollars ($2,700), nunc pro tunc to December 7, 2025 in
support of Vegan Vibes.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS
AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 10, 2025.
