A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO RELY UPON SOURCEWELL CONTRACT NO.
011822-LXP TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER TO LEXIPOL IN
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY-FOUR THOUSAND
EIGHT HUNDRED TWELVE DOLLARS AND TWENTY CENTS
($84,812.20) FOR THE PURCHASE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT
POLICY MANUAL AND DAILY TRAINING BULLETINS AND
IMPLEMENTATION FOR THE MIAMI GARDENS POLICE
DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens Police Department requires management,
review, and updating of departmental policies, as well as officer training on those policies
to ensure consistent compliance, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City of Miami Gardens, Code of Ordinances Section 2-
757, the City may enter into competitively solicited contracts, and
WHEREAS, the staff seeks to piggyback Sourcewell Public Safety Training and
Simulation Equipment and Technology Contract Number 011822-LXP, to issue a
purchase order to Lexipol, LLC to purchase policy manual and daily training bulletins and
implementation for the Miami Gardens Police Department, and
WHEREAS, the sum amount of the purchase order is Eighty-Four Thousand Eight
Hundred Twelve Dollars and Twenty Cents ($84,812.20), and
WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager to rely
upon Sourcewell Contract No. 011822-LXP to issue a purchase order to Lexipol in an
amount not to exceed Eighty-Four Thousand Eight Hundred Twelve Dollars and Twenty
Cents ($84,812.20) for the purchase of law enforcement policy manual and daily training
bulletins and implementation for the Miami Gardens Police Department, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager to rely upon Sourcewell Contract No. 011822-LXP to
issue a purchase order to Lexipol in an amount not to exceed Eighty-Four Thousand Eight
Hundred Twelve Dollars and Twenty Cents ($84,812.20) for the purchase of law

enforcement policy manual and daily training bulletins and implementation for the Miami
Gardens Police Department.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 10, 2025.
