A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN LINDA JULIEN’S COMMUNITY BENEFITS
ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE THOUSAND
TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,200.00) IN SPONSORSHIP OF
STATE REPRESENTATIVE ROBINSON’S ANNUAL HEART
HEALTH EVENT, NUNC PRO TUNC, PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens supports community-based partnerships
and initiatives that promote public health education, wellness, and resident engagement;
and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Linda Julien partnered with State Representative
Felicia Robinson to support the Red Dress, Red Wine Heart Health Event, a community
health awareness initiative focused on cardiovascular education and prevention; and
WHEREAS, the event was held on February 6, 2026, and served residents of the
City of Miami Gardens by providing health-related information, resources, and community
engagement opportunities; and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Linda Julien utilized funds from the Seat 5 Community
Benefits account in an amount not to exceed One Thousand Two Hundred Dollars
($1,200.00) to support event-related expenses associated with this initiative; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the use of these funds served a valid public
purpose and now seeks to ratify and approve said expenditure nunc pro tunc;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager or his designee to allocate one thousand two hundred
dollars ($1,200) from Councilwoman Linda Julien’s Community Benefit account (116-19-
01-519-492-05) in support of State Representative Felicia Robinson’s annual Heart
Health Event.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon adoption.
