A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST,
RESPECTIVELY, THAT CERTAIN SECOND AMENDMENT TO
THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN MIAMI-DADE
COUNTY AND THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS FOR GOB
PROJECT NO.320, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO
AS EXHIBIT “A”; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on October 22, 2025, the City Council of Miami Gardens approved
Resolution No. 2025-131-2432 approving First Addendum to the Miami Gardens Town
Center Infrastructure Agreement which allowed the City to undertake performance and
completion of certain infrastructure improvements on the Miami Gardens Town Center
and Performing Arts Center campus utilizing Project 320 funds that are recaptured by the
Miami-Dade County Commissions Board, and
WHEREAS, on May 6, 2025, the Miami-Dade County Commission approved
Resolution No. R-452-25 revising Section 4 of the Interlocal Agreement between the City
and Miami-Dade County, and
WHEREAS, the revision ensured that the County will reimburse the City for 100
percent of eligible public infrastructure costs up to the total amount of the grant and
eliminate the requirement for the City to fund 43.14 percent of the invoice amount, and
WHEREAS, the fiscal impact of this revision is the reimbursement of funds from
the Building Better Communities' General Obligation Bond Program Project No. 320
Economic Development Fund in an amount up to Seven Million Five Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($7,500,000.00) for infrastructure costs, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City
Manager and the City Clerk to execute and attest, respectively, that certain Second
Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement between Miami-Dade County and the City of
Miami Gardens for GOB Project No. 320, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit
“A”,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.

Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager and the City Clerk to execute and attest, respectively,
that certain Second Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement between Miami-Dade
County and the City of Miami Gardens for GOB Project No. 320, a copy of which is
attached hereto as Exhibit “A”.
Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
