A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION
OF FUNDS FROM SEAT 5 COMMUNITY BENEFITS ACCOUNT
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWELVE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($12,000) IN SUPPORT OF ONGOING CIVIC
ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVES; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION
OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR
IMPLEMENTATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens is committed to supporting programs and
initiatives that provide direct benefits to residents, enhance quality of life, and promote
civic engagement throughout the community; and
WHEREAS, community-based programs and initiatives provide essential
opportunities for education, resource accessibility, neighborhood engagement, youth
enrichment, and cultural awareness; and
WHEREAS, the allocation of funds from the Seat 5 Community Benefits Account
will support the implementation, coordination, and sustainability of programs and
initiatives designed to serve residents and strengthen community partnerships; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the expenditure of funds for such programs
and initiatives serves a legitimate municipal and public purpose by fostering community
involvement, expanding access to services, and promoting the overall welfare of the
residents of the City of Miami Gardens.
WHEREAS, the Seat 5 Community Benefits Account is intended to provide flexible
funding support for community-focused initiatives that address emerging needs, enhance
resident engagement, and expand access to programs and services within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to ensure that funds allocated from this
account are expended in accordance with established municipal financial policies and
procedures and in a manner that promotes transparency, accountability, and measurable
community benefit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.

Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of funds not to exceed twelve thousand dollars
($12,000.00) from the Seat 5 Community Benefits Account to be used for Seat 5,
programs, community resources, and participation in local initiatives.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon adoption.
