A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN KATRINA L. BASKIN’S COMMUNTY
BENEFIT ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
TWELVE THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY-THREE
DOLLARS, AND FIFTY-FOUR CENTS ($12,523.54) IN
SUPPORT OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVES;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Katrina L. Baskin is requesting the allocation of funds
in an amount not to exceed Twelve Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty-Three Dollars, and
Fifty-Four Cents ($12,523.54) from her Community Benefit Account (116-19-01-519-492-
01) in an ongoing effort to foster community engagement, promote education, and
strengthen community connections, and
WHEREAS, these funds will support a variety of initiatives and events that promote
community engagement, which may include, but not limited to, the following: Her-Story
Women's History Month Celebration, Teacher Recognition Programming, book fairs, and
scholarship programming, and
WHEREAS, the allocation will help cover essential event-related expenses such
as supplies, entertainment, promotional materials, and other logistical components that
contribute to a successful and impactful experience, and
WHEREAS, this initiative reflects Councilwoman Baskin’s continued commitment
to enhancing the quality of life for all residents by ensuring access to inclusive, uplifting,
and meaningful programming throughout the City of Miami Gardens,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocate funds from Councilwoman Katrina L. Baskin’s Community Benefit
Account in an amount not to exceed Twelve Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty-Three
Dollars, and Fifty-Four Cents ($12,523.54) in support of Community Engagement
Initiatives.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
