ITEM K-1) CONSENT AGENDA RESOLUTION Orientation for Newly Elected Officials
1515 NW 167 Street, Building 5 Suite 200 Miami Gardens, Florida 33169 I am proposing the establishment of an orientation session for new members of the City Council. I am of the opinion that this initiative would provide a solid foundation for newly elected officials to learn about the operational aspects of Miami Gardens’ government and the responsibilities of the various Offices and departments. In researching this matter I found t hat other municipalities have implemented similar measures because they too understand the importance of providing their newly elected officials with a thorough understanding of the operational aspects of municipal government. Proposed Action: That the City Council approves the resolution direting the City manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk to establish an orientation session for newly elected officials. Attachment: None.
