HomeMy WebLinkAbout2026-047-2504_-_P.O._to_SHI_International_Corp_-_Adopted.docxRESOLUTION NO. 2026-047-2504 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PIGGYBACK CITY OF MESA/OMNIA CONTRACT NO. 2024056-02, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS PRODUCTS AND SERVICES BETWEEN SHI INTERNATIONAL CORP. AND CITY OF MESA, ARIZONA TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FIFTY- ONE THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY-SEVEN DOLLARS AND SIXTY-FOUR CENTS ($251,677.64) TO SHI INTERNATIONAL CORP FOR THE PURCHASE OF MICROSOFT SOFTWARE LICENSES AND SUPPORT SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens currently utilizes Microsoft software across its information technology infrastructure to support daily operations. These products are essential for maintaining system functionality, communication, and overall operational efficiency, and WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens Office of Procurement and Information Technology Department seeks to purchase Microsoft software licenses and support services, and WHEREAS, on November 16, 2023, the City of Mesa solicited Request for Proposal (RFP) Number 2024056 for Information Technology Solutions Products and Services, and WHEREAS, based on price and the evaluation factors set forth in the solicitation, Request for Proposal (RFP) Number 2024056 was awarded to SHI International Corp., and the City of Mesa, Arizona and SHI International Corp. entered into Contract No. 2024056-02 on July 2, 2024, and WHEREAS, the initial contract period between SHI International Corp. and the City of Mesa, Arizona is for a term beginning July 2, 2024 and ending July 1, 2028 and may be renewed up to a maximum of six (6) years, and WHEREAS, the City of Mesa partnered with OMNIA Partners, Public Sector, Inc. to make the resultant contract from the solicitation available to other public agencies through OMNIA Partner’s cooperative purchasing program, and WHEREAS, pursuant to City of Miami Gardens, Code of Ordinances Section 2- 757, the City may enter into competitively solicited contracts when doing so is in the best interest of the City, and Docusign Envelope ID: 0C7D02F6-E826-8F6A-80D5-70314C3DC0E2 Page 2 of 3 Resolution No. 2026-047-2504 WHEREAS, staff seeks to piggyback City of Mesa/Omnia Contract No. 2024056- 02 between SHI International Corp. and City of Mesa, Arizona to issue a purchase orders to SHI International Corp for the purchase of Microsoft software licenses and support services, and WHEREAS, the sum amount of the purchase orders is in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty- One Thousand, Six Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars and Sixty-Four Cents ($251,677.64), and WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager to piggyback City of Mesa/Omnia Contract No. 2024056-02, Information Technology Solutions Products and Services to issue purchase orders to SHI International Corp. in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty- One Thousand, Six Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars and Sixty-Four Cents ($251,677.64), for the purchase Microsoft software licenses and support services for the Information Technology Department, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens hereby authorizes the City Manager to piggyback City of Mesa/Omnia Contract No. 2024056-02, Information Technology Solutions Products and Services between SHI International Corp. and City of Mesa, Arizona to issue purchase orders in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty- One Thousand, Six Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars and Sixty-Four Cents ($251,677.64) to SHI International Corp. for the purchase Microsoft software licenses and support services. Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its final passage.
