HomeMy WebLinkAbout2026-050-2507_-_P.O._to_Doosan_Bobcat_North_America_Inc._-_Adopted.docxRESOLUTION NO. 2026-050-2507 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PIGGYBACK CONTRACT NO. #FSA23-EQU21.0, EQUIPMENT BETWEEN THE FLORIDA SHERRIFF’S ASSOCIATION AND DOOSAN BOBCAT NORTH AMERICA, INC. TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER TO DOOSAN BOBCAT NORTH AMERICA, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SIXTEEN THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED THIRTY- THREE DOLLARS ($116,133.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE (3) GENERATORS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens Public Works Department seeks to purchase three (3) generators from Doosan Bobcat North America Inc., and WHEREAS, on May 1, 2023 and May 15, 2023, the Florida Sherriff’s Association solicited Invitation to Bid (ITB) Number FSA23-EQU21.0 for the statewide purchasing of construction, material handling, transportation and grounds care equipment, and WHEREAS, on October 1, 2023, ITB Number FSA23-EQU21.0 was awarded to a list of vendors including to Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc., based on price and the evaluation factors set forth in the solicitation, and WHEREAS, the initial contract period between the Florida Sherriff’s Association and Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc. was for a term of two (2) years from the effective date of October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2025 with the option to renew for an additional two (2) one (1) year terms, and WHEREAS, on May 21, 2025 the Florida Sherriff’s Association and Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc. entered into a contract renewal extending Contract Number FSA23- EQU21.0 from October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2025, and WHEREAS, pursuant to City of Miami Gardens, Code of Ordinances Section 2- 757, the City may enter into competitively solicited contracts when doing so is in the best interest of the City, and WHEREAS, staff seeks to piggyback Contract No. FSA23-EQU21.0 between the Florida Sherriff’s Association and Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc. to issue a purchase order to Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc. for the purchase of a three (3) generators, and Docusign Envelope ID: 0C7D02F6-E826-8F6A-80D5-70314C3DC0E2 Page 2 of 3 Resolution No. 2026-050-2507 WHEREAS, the sum amount of the purchase order is in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Sixteen Thousand, One Hundred and Thirty-Three Dollars ($116,133.00), and WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager to piggyback Contract No. #FSA23-EQU21.0, Equipment between the Florida Sherriff’s Association and Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc. to issue a purchase order to Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc., in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Sixteen Thousand, One Hundred Thirty-Three Dollars ($116,133.00) for the purchase of three (3) generators for the Public Works Department, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens hereby authorizes the City Manager to piggyback Contract No. #FSA23-EQU21.0, Equipment between the Florida Sherriff’s Association and Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc. to issue a purchase order to Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc., in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Sixteen Thousand, One Hundred Thirty-Three Dollars ($116,133.00) for the purchase of three (3) generators for the Public Works Department. Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its final passage.
