Community Redevelopment Agency Board Minutes
July 9, 2025
1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
The Community Redevelopment Agency Board for the City of Miami Gardens,
Florida, met in a special session, Jul 09 2025, beginning at 5:27 PM, in the
Council Chambers, 18605 NW 27th Avenue, Miami Gardens, Florida.
The following members of the CRA Board were present: Chair Rodney Harris,
Board Member Katrina L. Baskin, Board Member Reggie Leon, Board Member
Michelle C. Powell, D.O., MPH, Board Member Katrina Wilson, and Board
Member Linda Julien.
Also in attendance were: City Manager Cameron Benson, City Attorney Sonja
Dickens, and City Clerk Mario Bataille.
A motion made by Board Member Julien, seconded by Board Member
Baskin, to excuse the absence of Vice Chair Stephens passed and carried
by a unanimous voice vote.
2. INVOCATION
Board Member Wilson delivered the Invocation.
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Recited in unison.
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
5. ORDER OF BUSINESS
A motion made by Board Member Julien, seconded by Board Member
Baskin, to approve the Agenda passed and carried by a unanimous voice
vote.

There were no public comments.
8. RESOLUTION(S)/AGENCY BUSINESS
8.1. A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE
FISCAL YEAR 2024 MIAMI GARDENS COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AUDIT REPORT; PROVIDING FOR
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.

Assistant City Manager Vernita Nelson provided an overview of the item
and requested the board's acceptance of the audit report.
A motion offered by Board Member Julien, seconded by Board
Member Leon, to approve the Resolution. passed and carried by a
6 to 0 roll call vote of the Board.

8.2. A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI GARDENS COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE AMENDED FISCAL YEAR 2025 MIAMI GARDENS
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BUDGET, AS SET FORTH
IN EXHIBIT “A”; PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Assistant City Manager Nelson provided an overview of the amendment
and recommended approval.
A motion offered by Board Member Leon, seconded by Board
Member Julien, to approve the Resolution passed and carried by a
6 to 0 roll call vote of the Board.
