A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS,FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
VICE MAYOR STEPHENS’ SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT IN
AN SIXTHOUSAND ELEVEN EXCEED TONOT AMOUNT
HUNDRED THIRTY-SIX DOLLARS ($11,636.00) IN SUPPORT
OF ONGOING COMMUNITY INITIATIVES AND EVENT
OF THE ADOPTION PROVIDING SUPPORT; FOR
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Stephens supports community events and local non-
profit organizations with resources to assist with city-wide events and programming that
offer valuable services to the residents of Miami Gardens, and
WHEREAS, investing in community initiatives provide organizations with the
resources and support they need to succeed in impactful community programming, and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Stephens’ support for community events drives local
economic growth, strengthens social cohesion, improves public health, and fosters civic
trust, and
WHEREAS, Eleven allocation therequesting of Stephens Mayor Vice is
Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Six Dollars ($11,636.00) from his Special Events Account
(001-12-02-512-492-06) to support ongoing community initiatives and event support,
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1:ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2:AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of Eleven Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Six Dollars
($11,636.00) from Vice Mayor Stephens’ Special Events Account (001-12-02-512-492-
06) to support ongoing community initiatives and event support.
Section 3:EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JUNE 24, 2026.
