A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING AN AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED THIRTEEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED
TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($13,725) FROM COUNCILWOMAN
MICHELLE POWELL’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT IN
SUPPORT OF ONGOING CIVIC ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVES;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in an ongoing effort to encourage civic engagement and strengthen
community, Councilwoman Michelle C. Powell, DO is requesting the allocation of funds
in the amount of thirteen thousand seven hundred twenty-five dollars ($13,725.00) from
her Public Affairs Account (001-12-02-512-492-03), and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Powell believes in the importance of supporting a
variety of initiatives and events that promote civic engagement, which may include
wellness and enrichment programs, recognition ceremonies, and service-driven projects
within the City of Miami Gardens, and
WHEREAS, the allocation will help cover essential event-related expenses such
as supplies, entertainment, promotional materials, and other logistical components that
contribute to a successful and impactful experience, and
WHEREAS, it will include funds to provide scholarships and support students by
providing essential back-to-school supplies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of an amount not to exceed thirteen thousand seven
hundred twenty-five dollars ($13,725.00) from Councilwoman Michelle Powell’s Public
Affairs account (001-12-02-512-492-03)
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 22, 2026.
