A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE USE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS AND THE MIAMI GARDENS COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ATTACHED HERETO IN
SUBSTANTIAL FORM AS EXHIBIT “A”, AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND ATTORNEY TO FINALIZE THE
AGREEMENT AND EXECUTE THE SAME; PROVIDING FOR
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens is the owner of real property situated near
City Hall on the east side of N.W. 27th Avenue, centered at N.W. 189th Street (Folio ID:
34-2103-001-0710), and
WHEREAS, the said property is located in the Miami Gardens Community
Redevelopment Area and will serve as the site of the Miami Gardens Performing Arts
Center, and
WHEREAS, the MGCRA Community Redevelopment Plan (2019 Update) states
that a catalyst project should be used to kick off redevelopment in the CRA and that the
property is ideal for development into an entertainment and performing arts center, and
WHEREAS, the City and the Miami Gardens Community Redevelopment Agency
desire to develop the property as a Performing Arts Center as a catalyst project and to
address certain funding and operational arrangements, as set forth in this Use
Agreement, as presented in sustainable form as Exhibit “A”,
WHEREAS, this resolution also authorizes any and all future amendments to the
Use Agreement, and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends that the CRA Board approve the Use Agreement,
in substantial form, authorizing the Executive Director and Attorney to negotiate and
execute accordingly, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2. DESIGNATION: The Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of
Miami Gardens hereby approves the Use Agreement, in substantial form. The CRA of

the City of Miami Gardens further authorizes the Executive Director and Attorney to
negotiate and execute the finalized Agreement.
Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS
AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 22, 2026.
