Re: Proposed Budget FY 07-08
Please find under separate cover, my proposed operating budget for FY 07-08. I am
pleased to say that I believe we can continue our forward progress under this budget. As
we did last year, the Council needs to set a maximum proposed millage rate at this
meeting. I have recommended maintaining our current millage rate of 5.1488 mills.
Also as a part of this resolution, City Council will be setting the two official budget
hearings required by law. I have proposed that the first be set on our first regular Council
meeting night, September 12, 2007 at 6 p.m. The second is proposed for 6 p.m. on
Tuesday, September 25, 2007, the same night as our rescheduled regular Council
meeting.
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council approve the resolution setting the proposed
millage and public hearing dates.
