RESOLUTION NO. 2021-017-3572 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS TO SAFEWARE, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF A CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION CAMERA SOLUTION FOR THE SENIOR FAMILY CENTER, BY RELYING UPON COUNTY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA'S, CONTRACT NUMBER 4400008468, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-NINE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY DOLLARS AND FORTY-FOUR CENTS ($169,170.44); PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, included in the General Obligation Bond projects, a closed-circuit television camera (CCTV) component was planned to prevent and investigate criminal activity that is occurring or has occurred at City Parks, and WHEREAS, this requires a complex deployment of fixed networked cameras throughout the Senior Family Center, and WHEREAS, the CCTV camera feeds will be streamed live to the Real Time Crime Center for real-time, law enforcement responses, and WHEREAS, the video streams will be stored in the data center in accordance with the data retention policies, and WHEREAS, a scope of work was defined specific to the Senior Family Center project, and WHEREAS, the Safeware and Cintel Surveillance Practitioner partnership proposed the security camera layout, and WHEREAS, Cintel was chosen on the previous projects and is both highly qualified as well as the least costly integrator to implement the CCTV component of the overall Senior Family Center project, and WHEREAS, over the years, Cintel has deployed many systems across the United States of like complexity, and WHEREAS, the purchase of the CCTV solution will be procured by piggybacking off RFP Number 2000002547 (Contract Number 4400008468), which was competitively advertised and agreement established by the U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance (U.S. Communities) lead agency, The County of Fairfax, Virginia, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens hereby authorizes the City Manager to issue purchase orders to Safeware, Inc., for the purchase of a Closed Circuit Television Camera Solution for the Senior Family Center, by relying upon County of Fairfax, Virginia's, Contract Number 4400008468, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Sixty-Nine Thousand One Hundred Seventy Dollars and Forty-Four Cents ($169,170.44). Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its final passage.
