A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
VICE MAYOR REGGIE LEON'S PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($500.00), TO SUPPORT MIAMI NORLAND SENIOR HIGH
PTSA; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the PTSA is an organization where parents, teachers, students,
administrators, and other concerned adults discuss ways to promote quality education,
encourage community involvement, and provide parents and families with a powerful
voice to speak on behalf of every child, and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Leon understands the importance of advocating for
educational success and the health and welfare of all children and families, and
WHEREAS, as a result, he is requesting funding from the Public Affairs Account
in the amount of $500.00, to support the Miami Norland Senior High PTSA banner
recognition fundraiser project, and
WHEREAS, the donation will help sponsor student, teacher, and parent activities
during the school year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates funds from the Public Affairs Account for Five Hundred Dollars
($500.00), to support Miami Norland Senior High PTSA.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
