A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI 4 GARDENS, FLORIDA, AWARDING REQUEST FOR
PROPOSAL NO. 20-21-006 TO LIMOUSINES OF SOUTH
FLORIDA, INC. FOR TROLLEY CIRCULATOR SERVICES;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY TO
NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR THIS
PURPOSE IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THE BUDGETED
AMOUNT; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, new trolleys are needed in an effort to continue Trolley Services, and
WHEREAS, in 2014, City of Miami Gardens City Council approved an interlocal
agreement with Miami-Dade County Transit to authorize the City to provide public
transportation services for the operation of the bus circulator, and
WHEREAS, on December 1, 2014, City staff issued Request for Proposal (RFP)
No. 14-15-004(A) for Trolley Circulator Services, and
WHEREAS, the RFP opened on December 23, 2014, and received one submittal
from Limousines of South Florida, Inc., and
WHEREAS, on February 25, 2015, through Resolution NO. 2015-38-2235, City
Council approved the award and agreement with Limousines of South Florida, Inc., and
WHEREAS, on January 20, 2021 RFP Number 20-21-006 was advertised on
BidSync, and
WHEREAS, one (1) firm, Limousines of South Florida, Inc., submitted a response
to the advertised solicitation, and
WHEREAS, the contract requires three (3) new trolleys and the City will receive
100% of the advertising revenue. The specific locations for the advertising will be
determined once the new trolleys are delivered to the City, and
WHEREAS, City staff has evaluated the bid for compliance with the specifications,
and
WHEREAS, City staff recommends that award be made to Limousines of South
Florida, Inc., and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby awards RFP NO. 20-21-006 to Limousines of South Florida, Inc., and further
authorizes the City Manager and City Attorney to negotiate and execute Agreements for
this purpose in an amount not to exceed the budgeted amount.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
