A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, RECGNIZING JUNE 10, 2021, AS
SCOTT LAKE ELEMENTARY END OF THE YEAR SCHOOL
COMMUNITY ACTIVITY AND WAIVING FEE USAGE FOR THE
USE OF THE SHOWMOBILE; PROVIDING FOR INSTRUCTIONS
TO THE CITY MANAGER; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Scott Lake Elementary will be hosting their End of The Year School
Community Activity, and
WHEREAS, This event is currently scheduled for Thursday, June 10, 2021, and
WHEREAS, Scott Lake Elementary is a Title I funded school which serves
students in Pre-kindergarten through grade five, and
WHEREAS, Scott Lake continuously set high standards of achievement for
students, parents, faculty, and staff, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Wilson recognizes the outstanding hard work and
contributions made by the administration, faculty and students on the occasion of their
End of The Year School Community Activity, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Wilson is requesting to waive all fees associated with
the use of the Miami Gardens Showmobile during the June 10, 2021 Scott Lake
Elementary end of the year school community activity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes a waiver of all fees associated with the use of the Miami Gardens
Showmobile during the June 10, 2021 Scott Lake Elementary end of the year school
community activity.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JUNE 9, 2021.
