A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENTS
WITH THE CENTER FOR FAMILY AND CHILD ENRICHMENT
(CFCE), JESSIE TRICE COMMUNITY HEALTHY SYSTEM
(JTCHS), MD MARKETING NETWORK (MDMN), QQ
RESEARCH CONSULTANTS, AND UHI COMMUNITY CARE
CLINIC FROM THE GRANT AWARDED TO THE CITY BY THE
CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION (CDC)
FOR RACIAL AND ETHNIC APPROACHES TO COMMUNITY
HEALTH (REACH); PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on September 9, 2020, the City of Miami Gardens’ Live Healthy Miami
Gardens (hereinafter “LHMG”) was awarded a Supplemental Grant through its CDC
REACH Initiative to support vaccination coverage for racial and ethnic groups in the City
of Miami Gardens (hereinafter “City”) experiencing disparities in vaccination rates, and
WHEREAS, the item was adopted by the City Council on January 13, 2021, Nunc
Pro Tunc to November 1, 2020, and
WHEREAS, the CITY conducted a Request for Information (RFI) process
recommendation focused on administering vaccines at local Miami Gardens clinics and
community sites, providing communications, event and logistical support, and data
collection and evaluation services, and
WHEREAS, this resolution authorizes the City to enter into Subrecipient
Agreements with the Center for Family and Child Enrichment (CFCE), Jessie Trice
Community Healthy System (JTCHS), MD Marketing Network (MDMN), QQ Research
Consultants, UHI Community Care Clinic,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizing the City Manager to execute Subrecipient Agreements with the Center
for Family and Child Enrichment (CFCE), Jessie Trice Community Healthy System
(JTCHS), MD Marketing Network (MDMN), QQ Research Consultants, UHI Community
Care Clinic from the grant awarded to the CITY by the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC) for Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH).

Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
