A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AWARDING REQUEST FOR
QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) NO. 20-21-013, TO JIJ
CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION, PERSONS SERVICE
CORPORATION, AND RYALS RENOVATIONS, LLC;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE AGREEMENTS FOR THIS PURPOSE; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on April 23, 2021, procurement staff issued Request for Qualification
(RFQ) No.20-21-013, Pre-Qualified General Contractors List for Single-Family Home
New Construction, and
WHEREAS, proposals were received from JIJ Construction Corp., Persons
Services Corp., and Ryals Renovations, LLC (collectively “Proposers”) and were publicly
read, and
WHEREAS, on June 17, 2021, a Selection Committee meeting was held and the
Selection Committee determined that the Proposers were responsive and responsible to
the requirements of the RFQ, and
WHEREAS, the Selection Committee scored and ranked the Proposers and
recommended all three firms for award of bid, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City
Manager to negotiate and execute contracts with the Proposers for Single-Family Home
New Construction services,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby awards RFQ No. 20-21-013, Pre-Qualified General Contractors List For Single-
Family Home New Construction to JIJ Construction Corp., Persons Services Corp., and
Ryals Renovations, LLC and authorizes the City Manager to negotiate and execute
contracts for this purpose.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
