A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST
RESPECTIVELY THAT CERTAIN AGREEMENT WITH SIGHT
AND SOUND PRODUCTION FOR USE OF THE
AMPHITHEATER AT THE BETTY T. FERGUSON
RECREATIONAL COMPLEX FOR A TAILGATE PARTY HOSTED
BY TITO’S VODKA; ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A";
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the University of Miami vs. North Carolina State football game will be
held on October 23, 2021 at the Hard Rock Stadium, and
WHEREAS, Sight and Sound Production seeks to rent the amphitheater at the
Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex for a private (invite only) tailgate party hosted
by Tito’s Vodka from 12:00pm- 3:00pm for approximately seventy-five (75) patrons, and
WHEREAS, Sight and Sound Production will be responsible for all required
insurance and permits including but not limited to alcohol, tents, and temporary fencing,
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Facility User Agreement hereto attached as Exhibit
“A”, Sight and Sound Production will pay the City of Miami Gardens a service fee of
$115.00 plus a rental fee of $272.00 per hour for a total amount of $931.00 in revenue to
be generated and,
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager
to execute the Facility User Agreement with Sight and Sound Production to rent the
amphitheater at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a Facility User Agreement with Sight and
Sound Production for use of the amphitheater at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational
Complex tailgate party hosted by Tito’s Vodka; and authorizes the City Manager and City
Clerk to execute and attest said Facility User Agreement.

Section 3: INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CITY CLERK: The City Clerk is hereby
authorized to obtain two (2) fully executed copies of the subject Agreement with one to
be maintained by the City, and one to be delivered to Miami Dade County.
Section 4: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
