A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AWARDING RRP NUMBER 20-21-
008 INSURANCE BROKERAGE SERVICES FOR GROUP
EMPLOYEE BENEFITS TO ACENTRIA PUBLIC; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on March 9, 2021, Request for Proposal (RFP) Number 20-21-008,
Insurance Brokerage Services for Group Employee Benefits was solicited via Bidsync,
and
WHEREAS, two (2) bids were received and publicly read from Acentria Public
Risk and Public Risk Insurance Providers (PRIA), and
WHEREAS, an evaluation committee meeting was held on April 29, 2021 and
Acentria Public Risk and Public Risk Insurance Providers (PRIA), were deemed
responsive and responsible to the requirements of the RFP, and
WHEREAS, after reviewing the submitted proposals and considering the
information submitted by the firms, the committee evaluated, scored and ranked Public
Risk Insurance Providers (PRIA), as the first-ranked firm. A copy of the proposal
document and submittals are hereto attached, and
WHEREAS, staff recommends City Council approve the evaluation committee’s
recommendation for award to Public Risk Insurance Providers (PRIA), for RFP Number
20-21-008, Insurance Brokerage Services for Group Employee Benefits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing “WHEREAS”
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: APPROVAL: The City Council approves the award to Acentria Public
Risk, for RFP Number 20-21-008, Insurance Brokerage Services for Group Employee
Benefits.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 26, 2021.
