A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 2
TO THE MIAMI- DADE COUNTY BUILDING BETTER
COMMUNITIES GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT FOR ROLLING OAKS PARK; PROVIDING FOR
THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, as part of the Miami- Dade County Building Better Communities
(BBC) General Obligation Bond (GOB), the City of Miami Gardens and Miami-Dade
County previously executed an Interlocal Agreement in the amount of $3,183,516 to be
used for improvements to Rolling Oaks Park, and
WHEREAS, although the City has commenced with the design and construction
of improvements to Rolling Oaks Park, the project will not be completed by the deadline
in the Interlocal Agreement, and
WHEREAS, the Miami-Dade County BBC GOB program has agreed to amend
the Interlocal Agreement, allowing for an extension and making the funds for
improvements available through June 2023, and
WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council approve Amendment No. 2 to
the Miami- Dade County BBC GOB Interlocal Agreement for Rolling Oaks Park whereby
extending its completion terms to June 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing “WHEREAS”
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: APPROVAL: The City Council hereby City Council approve
Amendment No. 2 to the Miami- Dade County BBC GOB Interlocal Agreement for
Rolling Oaks Park whereby extending its completion terms to June 2023.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2021.
