A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO ANTHONY
BRUNSON, P.A. IN RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
NUMBER 20-21-016; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT AND RENEWAL
AGREEMENTS NOT TO EXCEED $74,300 ANNUALLY FOR
THREE YEARS FOR THIS PURPOSE; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on May 13, 2021, staff issued Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 20-21-
016, External Auditing Services via Bidsync, and
WHEREAS, the RFP invited qualified firms to submit proposals to provide External
Auditing Services for the City of Miami Gardens, and
WHEREAS, in response to the RFP, proposals were received from two (2) firms,
Anthony Brunson, P.A. and Keefe McCullough & Co, LLP, and
WHEREAS, on August 26, 2021, an Evaluation Committee meeting was held and
the Evaluation Committee determined that both firms, were responsive and responsible
to the requirements of the RFP, and
WHEREAS, after reviewing the submitted proposals and considering the
information submitted by the firms the Committee evaluated, scored and ranked Anthony
Brunson, P.A, as the first-ranked firm, and
WHEREAS, the annual costs under the Agreement will not exceed $74,300 and
the City’s maximum three year costs will not exceed $222,900, and
WHEREAS, the Evaluation Committee's recommendation of award was posted on
August 26, 2021 on Bidsync, and
WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager to
negotiate and execute an agreement and renewals with Anthony Brunson, P.A. for three
years to provide External Auditing Services for the City of Miami Gardens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing “WHEREAS”
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.

Section 2: APPROVAL: The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to
negotiate and execute an agreement and renewals with Anthony Brunson, P.A. to provide
External Auditing Services for the City of Miami Gardens.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2021.
