A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
PIGGYBACKING OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT
OF MANAGEMENT SERVICES CONTRACT DMS- 12/13-007
FOR REAL ESTATE SERVICES, NUNC PRO TUNC, TO
OCTOBER 1, 2020; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Pursuant to City of Miami Gardens, Procurement Code Section 2-757,
the City may enter into competitively solicited contracts, and
WHEREAS, State of Florida, Division of Management Services advertised
competitive solicitation DMS-12/13-007 for Real Estate Consulting Services on March 25,
2013, herein attached as Exhibit “A”, and
WHEREAS, the contract was awarded to CBRE, Inc., and currently expires on
April 8, 2024, and
WHEREAS, the agreement provides for State and Local governments to utilize the
services of the selected vendor, CBRE, Inc., as "Eligible Users" pursuant to Florida
Statutes 163.3164, and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting authorization from the City Council to piggyback
off the State of Florida Department of Management Services Contract DMS- 12/13-007
for Real Estate Services, nunc pro tunc, to October 1, 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing “WHEREAS”
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: APPROVAL: The City Council hereby authorizes the piggyback off the
State of Florida Department of Management Services Contract DMS- 12/13-007 for Real
Estate Services, nunc pro tunc, to October 1, 2020.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2021.
