A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS’ STAGE SHOWMOBILE AND A
WAIVER OF ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE FOR
PARKWAY BAPTIST CHURCH’S RETIREMENT SERVICE FOR
THEIR SCHOOL DIRECTOR, PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION
OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, Mayor Rodney Harris is requesting approval for use of the Miami
Gardens’ stage showmobile and a waiver of all costs associated with the use for Parkway
Baptist Church’s Retirement service for their School Director, and
WHEREAS, this event will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 4:00pm -
7:00pm on the church’s lawn located at 18000 NW 18th Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL
33056, and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Geneta Campbell, has served as an Educator, and School
Director, educating youth of Miami Gardens for 38 years, helping enhance the reputation
of the church and the city, and
WHEREAS, this outdoor event will be a celebration of her service to the youth of
this community, and will be open to the public, in addition, there will be adherence to all
COVID-19 protocols to ensure the safety of all guests, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the use of the City of Miami Gardens’ stage showmobile and a waiver
of all costs associated with the use for Parkway Baptist Church’s Retirement service for
their School Director.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 8, 2021.
