A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AWARDING REQUEST FOR
PROPOSAL (RFP) NO. 21-22-004 TO BEJAR CONSTRUCTION,
INC.; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE
AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR THIS PURPOSE;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on October 28, 2021, staff issued Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 21-
22-004 Lester Brown Park Improvements, and
WHEREAS, proposals were received from four (4) proposers, Bejar Construction,
Inc., Florida Engineering and Development, Corp., Lunacon Engineering Group, Corp
D/B/A Lunacon Construction Group, and One Day Came, Inc., and each proposal was
publicly read, and
WHEREAS, on December 9, 2021, an Evaluation Committee held a meeting and
the Evaluation Committee determined that all four (4) proposers, were responsive to the
requirements of the RFP, and
WHEREAS, the Evaluation Committee scored and ranked the firms and
recommended the first ranked proposer, Bejar Construction, Inc., for the award, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager
to negotiation and execute an Agreement with Bejar Construction, Inc., for Lester Brown
Park Improvements,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby awards Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 21-22-004 to Bejar Construction, Inc.,
and authorizes the City Manager to negotiate and execute an Agreement for this purpose.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 12, 2022.
