A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO
HOST THE BLACK HISTORY MONTH FOOD TRUCK FRENZY
IN THE MIAMI GARDENS VILLAGE, PROVIDING INSTRUCTION
TO THE CITY MANAGER; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Reggie Leon is recommending the City Host throughout
the month of February on every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday a Black History Month
Food Truck Frenzy in the Miami Gardens Village, and
WHEREAS, this event will celebrate Black History Month and provide a safe,
secure location for food trucks to conduct business and provide residents and their
families a valuable service, while assisting in addressing the problem of food trucks
causing traffic problems and backups throughout the city, and
WHEREAS, the Food Truck Frenzy will be held in the lot located on the east side
of the City Hall parking garage, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby directs the City Manager to take any and all steps necessary to host the The City
of Miami Gardens Black History Month Food Truck Frenzy in the Miami Gardens Village.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 26, 2022.
