A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, WAIVING PARK RENTAL FEES
FOR CAROL CITY PARK, AUTHORIZING THE USE AND
WAIVER OF ALL COST ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS SHOWMOBILE, AND ALLOCATING
FUNDS FROM VICE MAYOR LEON PUBLIC AFFAIRS
ACCOUNT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE
THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS
($3,920.00) TO COVER COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH LAW
ENFORCEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE MIAMI
CAROL CITY SENIOR HIGH ALUMNI ASSOCIATION'S
COMMUNITY PICNIC ON SATURDAY, APRIL 16, 2022;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Miami Carol City Senior High Alumni Association would like to host a
Community Picnic on Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Miami Carol
City Park, and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Reggie Leon would like to sponsor the use of Miami Carol
City Park and the City of Miami Gardens showmobile in support of Miami Carol City Senior
High Alumni Association's Community Picnic, and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this event is to convene the community with alumni
and supporters of Miami Gardens' own Miami Carol City Senior High for an enjoyable,
family-friendly event, and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Leon is requesting the waiver of rental fees, as well as
costs of Law Enforcement support associated with this event,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes a rental fee waiver for the use of Miami Carol City Park and the City of
Miami Gardens showmobile and allocating three thousand nine hundred and twenty
dollars from the Seat 2 Public Affairs Special Events Account for the Miami Carol City
Senior High Alumni Association's Community Picnic on April 16, 2022.

Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MARCH 9, 2022.
