A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AWARDING INVITATION TO BID
(ITB) 21-22-001, TREE/PALM REMOVAL, TRIMMING AND
PRUNING SERVICES TO PRIMARY VENDOR, ELAN LAWN &
LANDSCAPE AND SECONDARY VENDOR SUPERIOR
LANDSCAPING & LAWN SERVICE INC.; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR THIS
PURPOSE NOT TO EXCEED THE BUDGETED AMOUNT;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on October 4, 2021, Invitation To Bid (ITB) Number 21-22-001
Tree/Palm Removal, Trimming and Pruning Services was solicited via BidSync, and
WHEREAS, the ITB invited qualified firms to submit proposals to provide
Tree/Palm Removal, Trimming and Pruning Services to the City, and
WHEREAS, in response to the ITB, proposals were received from six (6)
proposers; Coco Tree Service Corp, Crodon, Inc, Elan Lawn & Landscape, SFM
Services, Inc, Sherlock Tree Company, and Superior Landscaping & Lawn Service, Inc.,
and
WHEREAS, on October 25, 2021, a bid opening was held where staff evaluated
the proposals for compliance with the bid specifications and tabulated vendor pricing, and
WHEREAS, staff recommends City Council award Elan Lawn & Landscape as the
primary vendor and Superior Landscaping & Lawn Service Inc. as the secondary vendor,
and
WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager to
issue purchase orders not to exceed the budget amount to Elan Lawn & Landscape as
the primary vendor and Superior Landscaping & Lawn Service Inc. as the secondary
vendor to provide Tree/Palm Removal, Trimming and Pruning Services to the City of
Miami Gardens,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager to issue purchase orders not to exceed the budget

amount to Elan Lawn & Landscape as the primary vendor and Superior Landscaping &
Lawn Service Inc. as the secondary vendor to provide Tree/Palm Removal, Trimming and
Pruning Services to the City of Miami Gardens
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MARCH 9, 2022.
