A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM VICE
MAYOR LEON’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT
OF ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,500.00),
TO WINSTON’S WORLD ENTERTAINMENT LLC., FOR
SPONSORSHIP OF KARAOKE IN THE GARDENS; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Reggie Leon will be co-sponsoring Karaoke in the
Gardens, a free community karaoke event, in partnership with Winston’s World
Entertainment LLC, and
WHEREAS, Karaoke in the Gardens, is a relaxing and entertaining way to bring
the community together by expressing themselves through music, and
WHEREAS, the event will take place on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the Betty. T.
Ferguson Recreational Complex Amphitheater, 3000 NW 199th Street, Miami Gardens,
FL 33056, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Leon is requesting a sponsorship in an amount not to
exceed $1,500.00 from his Public Affairs Special Events Account for the sponsorship of
the Karaoke in the Gardens event,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates funds from Seat 2 Public Affairs Special Events Account for One
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00), to Winston’s World Entertainment LLC., for
sponsorship of Karaoke in the Gardens to be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MARCH 23, 2022.
