A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS,FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN WILSON’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT IN
THE AMOUNT OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) TO
SUPPORT NATIONWIDE YOUTH OUTREACH & ATHLETICS'
BASKETBALL TALENT SHOWCASE; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Nationwide Youth Outreach & Athletics is a non-profit 501(C)3
organization founded in 2010 and incorporated in 2011 based out of the City of Miami
Gardens, and
WHEREAS, this organization positively influences the young generation through
educational programs as well as through youth basketball, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Katrina Wilson is requesting the allocation of $1,000
from the Seat 4 Public Affairs Special Events account to support the upcoming Nationwide
Youth Outreach & Athletics basketball Talen Showcase,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) to Nationwide
Youth Outreach & Athletics Basketball in support of their Basketball Talent Showcase.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MAY 11, 2022.
