RESOLUTION NO. 2022-065-3778
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILWOMAN SHANNON CAMPBELL’S SPECIAL EVENTS
ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED FIFTY
DOLLARS ($250.00) TO SUPPORT THE MIAMI DADE COUNTY
SCHOOL BOARD ANNUAL STUDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD
CEREMONY LUNCHEON; PROVIDING FOR INSTRUCTIONS
TO THE CITY CLERK; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Shannon Campbell understands the fact that an
education is mandatory for success, and
WHEREAS, when our youth excel at reading, writing, & arithmetic they should be
rewarded, and
WHEREAS, she intends to partner with the Miami Dade County School Board Vice
Chair Dr. Steve Gallon III, and
WHEREAS, to support the Miami Dade County Public Schools District 1 annual
Student of the Year Awards ceremony luncheon, and
WHEREAS Councilwoman Shannon Campbell is requesting an allocation of $250
from her special events account to assist with the M-DCPS School Board annual Student
of the Year Awards Ceremony Luncheon,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of funds from Councilwoman Shannon Campbell’s Seat
1 Special Events Account in the amount of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) in support
of Miami-Dade County School Board Annual Student of the Year Award Ceremony
Luncheon.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MAY 25, 2022.
